      I sense the dominant narrative is Salah is now more likely to be ready to take a full part in the DGW. My feeling is the opposite. Without the need to rush, Klopp is more likely to give Salah more time to heal and be ready for GW26. We'll need more time for the picture from Anfield to be clearer.

      If Liverpool go all the way in the FA Cup and the Europa League, they'd only have 2 free midweeks (from March onwards) to reschedule their 3 displaced games (one each due to the EFL Cup final, FA Cup QF and SF). So, the only solution then is to prepone the Luton fixture to GW25.

      Neither of Chelsea or Spurs are in continental competitions and the latter is now out of the FA Cup too. There will be enough free midweeks to reschedule that fixture and hence, there's no need for bringing it forward to GW25.

        Exactly. Liverpool could have to have a triple gameweek if they don't realise. Chelsea would of had a TGW a couple of seasons back had they gone through in Europe, so they've been incompetent before.

        If you want to try and help make it happen, I suggest emailing the Premier League directly and explaining the situation. I emailed them earlier this year to ask if they wanted me to work in the VAR room! I got a reply!

        I do wonder now, since Liverpool are up there with Manchester United as the most successful team in the country historically speaking, would the FA want to piss Liverpool and Klopp off giving them a midweek game before a cup final? That's interesting, because then putting Spurs Chelsea also into 25 could be a 'fair' solution if both teams i.e Liverpool and Chelsea has equal rest.

        Add Chelsea and Spurs into DGW madness please FA! damm I'm surprised I thought of that, nobody else has said it before.

          CHE-TOT moving to GW25 would be a fun scenario, but it's extremely unlikely. Sky would never agree to have one of their marquee games rescheduled during a CL week, especially when there isn't a calendar crunch on the teams involved.

          Regarding that could-have-been Chelsea TGW of the past, are you referring to the 21-22 season? I think that was an extreme outlier, as Chelsea also had the Club World Cup to contend with. Plus, the odd Covid-related postponement was a thing back then too. Chelsea's CL elimination essentially saved the PL from making impossible fixture decisions!

          I guess the PL need the consent of both clubs to bring the fixture forward. If they regard Liverpool's possible reluctance to have the game rescheduled before a cup final as a strong enough deterrent, they may decide to leave it for a later time (possible TGW?). I believe this is one of the reasons as to why there isn't complete certainty about the game moving forward to GW25.

      If I had that dilemma based on all the current information and the fact I seem to rate Alvarez way higher than the average FPL human player I would be selling Solanke. I don't see Solanke playing in 29 and those 25+26 fixtures look rough.

      Watkins should still steady eddie away and has good fixtures in problematic weeks.

      I don't believe the narrative that Alvarez is suddenly expendable, I expect him to play lots of minutes with both KDB and Haaland. The wider community will sell Alvarez and it's just up to you whether you keep him as that third City attacker in the double or not.

        The issue is Solanke's dominating Watkin's stats for the past few weeks. Some of thats fixtures but watkins and Villa have been off the boil for a while now.
        If there was a stand out City def i might switch to Foden, Haaland and def but Walker isnt getting any returns, Ake is rotated etc

        I'm expecting to be getting Haaland in for gameweek 23, but for Nkunku so not much worries there unless there's a sudden panic Chelsea double as well. Tight turnaround though, if Haaland only gets 5 mins vs Burnley it will shape the narrative of course.

    Something to note on the Great and the Good YouTube video made by Joe the other day.
    The interest is there and most noted is the similarity with teams. Variance came about by captain, Arsenal defender choice and those who made choices slightly different; albeit logical.
    I do think the team value clip was wasted somewhat. I think sell on value has more content relevance than TV. Mark, who has a high TV can be brought about by continuous risers but may not consider Salah. Son, Palmer, Watkins changes. Mark does not have Salah and Son where there can be a point 3 loss. He has Saka, Porro, Gabriel, Solanke and Palmer.
    Therefore, SV may be a more appropriate benchmark.

    I think, there is a mistake in the article: "Arsenal v Chelsea or West Ham v Aston Villa will be confirmed as going ahead in the midweek before Gameweek 25."
    Villa - Chelsea replay is scheduled for Feb 7th, therefore we'll know which of these two teams will have their fixture confirmed before Gameweek 24 (not 25, as written in the article).

      If I was on WC, I’d want Toney, for 26 and 29 as much as the double. Looks like you’d be well set up for 25/26 though

          As I said, I’d want him for the blanks cover as much as the double, which isn’t great on paper. Good to futureproof your squad as much as possible on WC
