    Afternoon all,

    1FT £4.1 ITB

Assuming Solanke is out for this week and not moving Toney to him, looking to move on Estu/Guehi. Who is the best def option for the next few weeks? Saliba?

    Dubruv (Turner)
    Gabriel Estu Ake (Porro Guehi)
    Saka Richy Foden Palmer (Neto)
    Watkins Haaland Toney

    Cheers

    GW29.

Think I'll be lining up with:

    No GK
    Doughty
    Son - Richarlison - Bowen
    Watkins - Morris

    Should be enough?

    What's your FHs otherwise?

Off the top of my heax, summat like

      Flekken
      Reguilon - Porro / Udogie / Doughtry
      Son - Richarlison - Bowen - Kudus - D Luiz
      Watkins - Toney

I plan on fielding 9 without any hits

      Flekken
      Doughty | Reguilon
      Son | Maddison | Bowen | Barkley
      Watkins | Toney

I can get to 8 for free

      Areola
      Pau, Porro, Doughty
      Son, (Richarlison or Bowen)
      Watkins, Adebayo

      Feels reasonable

Don't get your hopes up yet Estupinan owners...

RDZ on Lamptey: " I hope Tariq can be available for Saturday, Joel Veltman as well. Milner we will need another two to three weeks. We lost Jack Hinshelwood, who was very important for us, Mitoma. Joao Pedro, two to three weeks again, Ferguson I hope can play Saturday."

"Channy [Hwang Hee-Chan] felt his hamstring a little bit which for a squad as small as this, especially in that area, is a disaster but trying to pick the right ones to rest and which ones can play was a tough couple of days for us. Channy's doesn't look too serious, seems like a little one."

Was 6-3 (practically 6-0) last year and we actually had a full defence then. They’ll score as many as they want.

Ok, currently on 6 for GW29 with reserve goalie.

    Areola/Kamaski
    Doughty Pau
    Son
    Toney Watkins

Thinking of going down the Spurs route as their fixtures after 29 aren’t bad.

    Thoughts?

Hwang Hee Chan felt something in his hamstring, its small - nothing like Neto or Cunha

Disappointed that we lost him, hopefully it’s not too serious and we can get him back out there soon

I’ll be amazed if Hwang plays vs Newcastle

Am I right in thinking FH had to be the best going forward?

If using it for DGW’s down the line, aren’t the teams that will be doubling of low calibre anyway? And if they’re good teams that are doubling like city/Arsenal et , then you’ll likely have those bases covered anyway in your normal team with or without FH?

Maybe I’m just getting confused, but with the utter chaos now, 29 seems perfectly fitting to using the FH surely.

Cool, I was just having a think about it and it just seems so logical to use it in 29 with not much gain from holding it for later doubles as most people will have main culprits covered anyway.
Well I’ll be playing it in 29 anyways, cuts out so much worry and leg work.

        1. Bennerman
          • 6 Years

Yeah. And loads of prep time for this doubles - including, for many, use of a wildcard.

Exactly, so much time to navigate in the lead up to the doubles, and like I say most desired players will likely already be in your team.
Nothing against people saving FH of course for the doubles, but it just seems…..needless and not much upside to hanging onto it.

Not much benefit in 29 for sh*t defences that I can see. 2pts a player seems likely. Get 7 up top and that’s fine

  12. Atimis
    • 8 Years

    Maybe easy but…

    1) Sort Estu, start Bailey, bench Hwang
    2) Sort Hwang, play Estu,
    bench Bailey
    3) Sort both for a hit

    1. Atimis
      • 8 Years

Probably play Bailey and sell Estu?

This might sound a bit crazy, but would a hit for Maguire to Doughty make sense?

Means I can play Doughty this week (and through double in 28 and in 29), bench my injured players (Pau and Porro) to keep them for 29 (assuming no news ruling them out). Luton will probably score Vs Villa so good chance he is involved. Very little chance of a positive score from Maguire anyway so should pay off?

Gets me to 9 for 29....

With only Areola and Watkins having fixtures in 29. free hit looks a certainty for me.

I think if I could get 9 out or more out without hits I'd keep the FH and really attack a double with some differentials but in my boat it's a no brainier.

          • 2 Years

I dunno, it could work, but to me it’s not really squeezing that much extra out of a FH. Seems a lot of hassle to try and get so many players in for it. Reasons outlined just above really in comments.
But yeah…..absolutely using FH in 29, all handle taken out and plenty to time to prepare for the Doubles with FT’s and a few hits if needed. Will have main players anyway.

FH for you is obvious...but not for those with 5 players already...if you have the principle players e g Son, Watkins, Toney, Bowen, etc. FH is a bit of a waste...why not WC and get the benefits of the GW leading up to 29

      1. RICICLE
        • 2 Years
        9 months, 26 days ago

Wildcarding now? In the lead up to 29? Then you’ll have all that driftwood to remove surely?
For the reasons outlined above, I just don’t see how a FH in the future doubles massively outweighs who people will have in their teams by then anyway even without a FH.
Absolute best use of the FH imo is GW 29, the. WC’ing in 30/31, and plenty of time to navigate doubles from there.

I guess so, I see the point, I just don’t see huge upside to holding onto FH because it isn’t going to massively put distance between people even without it for the future doubles, suposoe it’d be nice for some differentials but that’s about it.

It does haha! It’s basically the same thing, to me it just makes more sense to use it in a GW the FH was perfectly designed for. Too much hassle and planning to try and grab all these players to dead end the team. So much more simply to FH 29, then WC 30/31, all subjective of course though.

For me it’s clear. When I WC early 30’s, I will want 3 premium. That stretches funds a lot so if I wanted to BB 34 3 premiums probably wouldn’t be possible. FH 34 allows 3 premium on WC and to FH 34 to spread some of those funds for the dgw and I can drop one premium in the preparations for dgw37 BB

Should I play a FH in 29 if I can get to this team after taking just one hit?

    Areola
    Porro Konsa Reggie Doughty
    Son Bowen Richarlison
    Watkins

Probably. Effectively 4 players as GK/Defs are irrelevant (fit or not) If you have 6/7 up top then fine

Saving my FH, playing 8, unless the 34/37 fixtures get confirmed soon, anyone know when?

I would be surprised if any rearranged fixtures were announced before the international break after GW29

Oh, didn't realise an IB coming up. That's annoying!

Got 4 for 29. And 2Ft,can get to a decent 8 without hits. Would you freehit or save chips for the doubles?

      8 is a proper 50/50 call imo.

FH imo, can’t see using it for future Doubles massively outweighing who people will have in their squads by then anyway.

it depends, if you have Spurs/Fulham and Villa you could WC GW31 and /or 33 even 35.

      GW30 Spurs home to luton
      Fulham away to Sheff Utd
      Forest Home to Palace
      Brentford home to Brighton
      West Ham away to Newcastle
      Villa home to Wolves
Chelsea away to burnley (do a hockey cokey)

GW30 isn't that bad, better than Arsenal V Man City,

I might get triple Spurs/Toney and play 8 (but get Neto GW28 instead of Kaminski, that's the only dilemma, but if that is worth a extra hit for neto.

But not interested in defenders anyway.

I don't see any CS, or Udogie or Regulion maybe worth a go.

    Start Estu or Gusto?

Also, would you take a -4 to replace Estu with Gabriel (would mean a -8 total this week!)?

It'll be hard for any other film this year to top the Dune Part Two experience. Incredible.

Huang to Son the logical option right?

Have 4 atm (god i wish i did Luiz instead of FOMO Hwang), I don't think Luiz get much away from home biut would have been benchable or in GW29
    (Raya Turner)
    Monero, Doughty (Gusto, Gabriel, Estu)
    Bowen, (Foden Hwang, Palmer, Saka)
    Watkins (Haaland, Solanke)

If I do Hwang to Son this week, then it is either Neto/Kaminski, but Raya./Kaminski is no good GW30. Neto vs Everton may be better?? Gw30

Spurs have Luton, West Ham Forest
Chelsea have Burnley Man Utd Sheff Utd
Fulham have Sheff Utd Forest Newcastle.
West Ham have Newcasle (Spurs) Wolves (not so great
    I wont bring in Burnley.
Forest have Palace, Fulham (Spurs), but none are interesting either.
Brentford have Brighton, Man U (and will be sold before villa.

I think with a couple of hits, the fixtures after for Spurs/Chelsea, Fulham and perhaps Toney are not too bad, (I just wont sell Solanke, Saka and buy back Haaand on WC31 with salah on wc GW33, or even 35.

Anyway the point is for 4 teams the pictures are quite good afterwards, and you could go Haalandless against Arsenal. GW30
