Dubravka nailed....unfortunately the defence is poor with him in it

Excl: Nick Pope is set to miss the rest of the season after a further setback - the GK dislocated his shoulder earlier December.

Add Lascelles being injured also. I don't know if even Trippier is going to be valid option later. High upside pick for desperate managers only.

      Ah!

Kind of derails my cunning plan for BB37 with Pope & Trippier. Together they might just have made the NUFC defence solid enough, but either one being out makes it a no go.

I agree. Gordon and Isak are obvious picks now, but having good defensive assets on WC35 would have been nice. And we have no certainty of Isak being able to stay fit that long.

    Bottomed:

    On wc.

Start thinking it is better to BB in gw34 and FH in gw37:

    Pros:
    - can keep several Pool and Arsenal-assets until the end.
    - BB not so many gameweeks after wc
    - Better cheap defenders for doubles in 34.
    - Some teams may be on the beach in 37. FH will give flexibility.

    Cons:
    - Can not stack up on Spurs, Newcastle and Chelsea. Fear going without Gordon/Isak for their good run.
    - Will have Palmer/son untill gw34, andre then move them back in 35. That will cost some hits.
    - Only Haaland from city for a lot of their good fixtures.

If Bradley or Kelleher keeps their place untill gw34 it will be a boon. Do we have any reliable info on the timeframe for Trent/Alisson????

    Please rip my arguments apart!

Agree, but do one need more than Palmer/Son from Chelsea/Spurs? The other assets are not that reliable. And I will also be able to bring them in big for my 37 FH

This is my big issue. Ned kelleher or Bradley for 34.

The news of Pope out might turn the tide to the FH34, BB37

There is no date yet for Alisson, so Kelleher is probably likely to get those gw34 starts. But it's risky. I think I may want Jackson(?!?) for his doubles. Gusto I already have. Richarlison may become an option.

Yes, they have been / were defending well since there were some problems with their attack. Even 0-1 win was "good enough". At home they probably have scored majority of their goals, at least during 2023.

Any thoughts on a better option than Udogie? Up to 5.5 ideally to allow me to get out of Kelleher for free.
Not convinced he is the best option. Even the potential DGW35 or 36 looks poor defensively. Quite likely I'd only play him in 32.

    Current back 7 is
    Onana Kelleher
    Schar Gusto Gabriel Branthwaite Udogie.

    Pickford (Onana)
Gabriel, Ait Nouri, Munoz (Branthwaite, Gusto)
    Salah, Palmer, Son, Saka (Maddison)
    Haaland, Isak, Muniz

    a) Maddison > Havertz, Diaz or McAllister (FT)
    b) Maddison/Muniz to Sarabia/Darwin for (-4)
    c) Isak or Haaland to Darwin (FT)

For me given this its Gabriel. If that trend of being jealous of Gabriel continues, you'll kick yourself even more if you don't have him. Not sure it applies the other way round except for the rule of sod - in that its sods law, whichever one you pick will be the wrong one. I'm with you though White just holds no interest even though he's a totally valid argument with the other two

its a fine team but to nit pick only one Liverpool player? given Sheff Utd this week and arguably the best double in gw34.

With no news about gusto I suppose I target him when something confirmed either way.

Perhaps petrovic and van hecke for Dubravka and Bradley (given pope news dub should be safe for Dgw

Thats a tough question...the easy answer right now is Petrovic, Gusto and Palmer. I'm not sure I'd touch anyone else.
If Jackson gets banned (10 Yellows) this week he'll be back for GW35/36 I might consider him then.

Spurs - is easier - Son, Porro and one of Richarlison or Maddison, probably Rich.
      Very template answer though sorry.

    Dub, Neto
    Saliba, Porro, Zab, Ake, Gusto
    Saka, Palmer, Foden, Son, Garnacho
    Haaland, Solanke, Watkins.

Biggest concern is no Liverpool! (1FT & 3.7m)

    A) Son - Salah (FT)
    B) Foden & Watkins - Salah & Cunha/Muniz/Mateta (-4)
    C) Watkins - Darwin (FT)
    D) Garnacho - Diaz (FT)

    Watkins and Moreno to

Still eaning B, Can sell Son GW33 if Haaland gets back his form before Luton for Solanke for a -4.

Do I roll the FT here or shall I get rid of lascelles/Gordon for someone who’s gonna start, just incase Saka doesn’t? Downgrading Gordon was a plan anyway so I could eventually do Muniz > solanke. Gusto is my first sub, but he’s flagged
