As teams are so similar I avoided Porro to have some different players.

I thought I should get a Spurs player in case they did keep a clean sheet against Burnley.

So it was down to Romero who I was pretty set on and Micky VdV.

I picked Romero for his goal scoring threat, it turns out the 1st and now 2nd spot in the money league now have both.

There's only 5 and 13 points in it, so all the fun of the fayre.

Romero has a great chance too.

One of them has BB to 88 points so far to keep it interesting.

Saka is a differential for me over Son. Think it will be a tight, edgy game at Old Trafford later on.

I brought Romero in a few weeks ago as a differential. He’s scored once and to say he could have had 4 or 5 is no exaggeration. Hopefully he can pick something up in the next two games.

Nah, just enjoy some sunshine and playing football with the Euro tournament in Germany coming up.

Have a few major finals before that.

The last 5 years I've picked my team in the last few days before deadline, finalising hours before when we have the complete preseason information and pregame press conferences.

It's better because you get to relax and enjoy the summer and you are not emotionally attached to picks you made weeks ago when the information was different.

    KDB (tot) + 24 points

    Or

    petrovic (bha)
    Vicario (MCI)
    Gvardiol (tot)
    Dalot (ARS, NEW)
    Fernandes (ARS, NEW)
    Jackson (BHA)

    Being Gvardiol in for GW38?

Would mean having to sell Ederson for a -4. My rival has Gvardiol and I fear he could explode again Vs West Ham.

    Cheers.

ATM he has a 10 point lead, but I'm on BB so I might close the gap. Either way it will go down to GW38 to decide the winner!

I think hits are a bad idea gw38 but maybe in your case it makes sense. BB could covet the -4. You're going to start -14 though and it's a bit to make up
Did you play fh/tc gw37? Why didn't you play bb37? Just wondering. You might have reduced the gap by the time the gw ends anyway

I think the form book partly goes out of the window in a Man United v Arsenal encounter at Old Trafford.

But the bookies still have Man U at 7 to 1 to beat Arsenal today.

    That's kind of mad.

If they can fashion a win then there's a 3 way tussel for 6th place between Newcastle and Chelsea on 57 points, which is also kind of mad.

        It is definitely possible.

I know everyone is writing Man United off, but a non league team can beat a Premier team on their patch, so anything can happen today.

heard an interesting point made of BBC radio 5 live, cant remember from who, but he basically said that manbe managers like Kompany and santo are so concerned with staying in shop window and being seen to be at least attempting "progressive" football aka playing out from the back that they arent really willing to change tactics. you really have to wonder had burnely been more willing to hit the ball into row z more often would they have stayed up? maybne not but how many points did they lose from attacks that started after they gave the ball away near their goal" and the funny thing is city are quite willing to play it long (and arsenal to who did it to great affect against city) and they would be seen as the teams to aspire to for this kind of football.

Interesting point. Burnley playing out from the back without the players to do so at Spurs - given their pressing - did seem odd. Felt sorry for Muric.

Bruno would not be on most people's bench and I don't mean the lowest scoring 4 players in the 15.

Of course players in the starting 11 fail or don't start, but the genuine benches are looking healthy for some with one of the Spurs defenders and Pickford etc in there
