😆 😆 😆 Paddy's having a go at us. Hoping to gain some retribution in the Open this weekend with Lowry, Rose and Conners backed e/w and they are paying out to 12 places.

Worth going two 4.0m defenders so I could upgrade my 4.5m keeper to Pickford? Both 4.0m defs would be on bench of course...

Mykolenko at 4.5m is great value, my preferred Everton pick

Which 2 keepers you got?. Think 2x 4.0 def risky

        Flekken/Valdimar

Ah, so you'ld have to shave 0.5 to get Pickford/Virginia. Can you do that to 1 of your def?

I have a 4.5m and 4.0m def on the bench, so I'd have to shave from the 4.5m def. My third sub is a 4.5m midfielder.

That's a lot of trust in your starting XI as the bench would be weak. Must admit tho that starting XI must be expensive hehe! Go with your gut fella.. & good luck!

Is Chris Wood worth a punt?
He seemed to score less often right at the end of last season.
Don’t really want to own MGW because I prefer other 6.5m midfielders.

I’m with you on MGW. I currently have him primarily because of the fixtures.
I really want to and may end up, going with my gut and getting Hwang…

The guy has done really well for me in the past and his 12 goals and 3 assists in just over 2000 minutes of playtime is pretty good.
It’s just a tough start for Wolves.

Can you sell any other 6.5s to me?

Hwang appeals to me too, except the fixture run.

6.5m MIDs for me to choose from are:
Johnson - good first two fixtures
Kudus - can score against anyone
        Garnacho - will likely start

        1. The Wanton Trader

Johnson and Garnacho are no gos for me, as I have BrunoF and Son, but good options also.
I did have Kudus for a bit and again the guy did well for me.

I think with Hwang having pens too, I’m going to chance it. He’s only 1.3% owned as well.

As for your original question about Wood, I’m not a fan. He’s very streaky… GL

Taiwo Awoniyi is Forest first choice forward, when he is fit. Wood was dropped to the bench end of last season to make way for fit again Awoniyi. This season Awoniyi is unavailable for pre season due to personal reasons and calf strain so Wood will be Forest first choice in attack. With Forest fixtures I think Wood will be worth a punt.

A lot will go with CHO or Gibbs White, the double up feels too much.

A rare couple of days tinker-free for my team, any thoughts?

    Flekken
    Porro, Mykolenko, Hall
    Salah, Eze, Bailey, Kudus
    Haaland, Isak, Havertz

    Fabianski, Robinson, 4.5, 4.0

Much appreciated, I think there's enough value in the £6.5m midfielders and cheap defenders to make it viable. The only thing that worries me is no Palmer

Pretty happy with Haaland team at mo with 0.5itb, thought defence might be weaker. My only doubt is Rogers as my 5th mid... & I'm a Villa fan lol!

I've got a Salah + Haaland team that I am happy enough with but it all depends on Joao Pedro not being injured!

Will be keeping an eye on Rogers too!

Due to flexibility, short term fixtures and GW2 captaincy I think it might be worth to go for A over B?
    A) Haaland and Hudson Odoi
    B) Watkins and Palmer

    1. WVA

Or just captain Foden who outscored Haaland last season

Haaland played less minutes with his injury amd he's on pens...(and he's a striker and he's Haaland and there's a reason he's the most expensive player ever)

Looking at Salahs record at home v Brentford he’s a better captain choice than Haaland in GW2 anyway.

Never understood why people focus on past performances. Its a very minor factor. Players change, teams change amd circumstances change.

Those of you going with a 4.5 keeper, who are you getting? I like Palace, but don't know who'll play, and Andersen might be safer. Now between Flekken and Sánchez.

Whoever Forest's number 1 will be.
However, I'm only selecting him if I play BB GW1.
      Otherwise, Pope.

Chelsea are shopping for a keeper too, so the only certain duo is the Brentford one. I decided to shave 0.5m off my defenders and move up to Pickford.

May sound weird but i feel like Haaland and Salah underperformed in FPL last season (just on the eye test and seeing the chances they missed) in addition to injuries and AFCON etc.

Lowest Score Wins leagues are back!

Pick your team using your entire budget then ‘set it and forget it’, with no transfers, chips, etc. used during the season. Lowest score wins!

    Classic: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/i46foq
    H2H: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/cynn5t

The rules are simple but bear repeating in relative depth:
    1. Use your entire budget to pick your team. You must have 0 left to spend when the season begins.
    2. Do not make any transfers once the season begins.
    3. Do not use any chips during the season.
    4. At the end of the season, the team at the bottom of the table (having correctly followed all rules) wins.
