If Foden is really not ready to start the season, that changes things quite a lot. He was one of the pillars that I built the team around.

Exploring some Liverpool drafts now. Those fixtures really are good. It's just really tough to gauge how good they'll be out the gates.

    Sanchez 4.0
    TAA Gvardiol Andersen Mykolenko Barco
    Salah Gordon Johnson Rogers Winks
    Haaland Isak Muniz

This team looks pretty good to me. But I worry about the 9.5m mid category. Once they're back and firing I'm going to want to bring them in.

I thought this was a given

Howe has made comments about Gordon too

Isn't there a rule around here to never trust Howe?

            As we don’t trust Pep!

If Foden has the audacity to enjoy himself while on holiday then Pep won't play him until September!

Easy salah and Gordon to foden and palmer when you need to. Still hitting the 2x9.5+ setup.

You could instead probably do something like trent to 4.5 Gordon to son, saka or foden +0.5

Yep. I see these lines. Not bad. I guess Salah + Gordon to start is the sensible route.

Thoughts on the no-Salah, no Haaland tactic. Can get all my other top picks in there, without the burden of a premium price tag in the squad

      Sanchez | 4.0
      TAA | Myko | Andersen | Konsa | Faes
      Palmer | Saka | Foden | Gordon | MGW
      Isak | Watkins | Pedro

Might WC to something like that around GW6 but an all-England midfield looks pretty dicey to start. Info on Foden on last page

Removing the England Euro players leave you with...
          Pope (4.0)
VVD | Gvardiol | Porro (Van de Ven, Barco)
          Son(c) | KdB | Bruno | Odegaard (4.5)
          Isak | Havertz | Darwin

I still might have Gordon / Palmer myself but will wait & see how things look closer to deadline. Don't think you necessarily have to avoid all of the squad, but 7 (as above) does have potential catastrophe written all over it

think it's crazy to go without both and setting yourself up for transfers as it makes it inflexible. Coupled with Palmer / Saka / Foden likely to have extended summer breaks.

        Get 1, if not both.

Anyone considering a little punt on Oscar Bobb for the first couple of weeks until Foden is back? Seems to be doing very well pre-season

Passes the eye test every time i see him. Just way to much competition on City wings to start the season with him though. Doku and Grealish on the left, before allowing for Foden possibly eating in to time there is KDB alone in attacking centre. Then Silva and Savinho on the right. If he got a loan move (which seems unlikely), I'd be all over it.

Hello peeps, appreciate your honest feedback on the below! RMT pls

      Pope (Bentley)
Van Der Ven - Andersen - Mykolenko (Castagne, Harwood-Bells)
MGW - Salah - EZE - Gordon (Bobb)
      Jesus - Haaland - Isak

The thought behind the above team is current pre-season form, new BBP system for defenders, as well as star boys (Palmer, Saka, Foden) might not be available for selection in GW1-3. I've gone for MGW based on fixtures and him being a setpiece taker as opposed to Nkunku (who seems good cover for Palmer.)

      Any changes required ?

      Cheers

Morning guys, currently on this, how is it? Too light in midfield or ok?
Could rotate Joao Pedro and Rogers.

      Flekken
      Gvardiol | Saliba | Porro
      Salah | Palmer | Foden | Andreas
Watkins | Isak | Joao Pedro

      Valdimarsson | Rogers | Barco | Harwood-Bellis

      Thanks

If Foden not ready then he will become Bruno/Odegaard

With you starting Andreas and Pedro, you would assume it was save budget for Haaland... this team looks like it should only cost £95m

Current prices skew the thinking there, Andreas likely to be on all set pieces and in an attacking free scoring Fulham team will be a bargain.
Joao Pedro and Brighton no Europe this year and no rotation manager will see many more mins, and pen taker in a team that get a lot of penalties.

No different to saying a team looked weak last year if it had a 5.0 Palmer starting....

You can't compare Andreas to Palmer.
We know exactly what we are getting with Andreas, consistently scored 120 points so his value is around 22ppm. It would be freakish if he doubled his output to 240 points this season. Palmer was an unknown entity with very high ceiling. Rogers might be a better comparison to last season's Palmer.

True, I have him too on the bench 🙂

I think with penalties and a nailed Muniz finishing chances I expect Andreas ceiling to be higher this season

      Any thoughts on this draft:

      Sanchez
      Gvardiol / Munoz / Konsa
      Salah / Rashford / Nkunku / Hudson-odoi
      Haaland / Havertz / Isak

      4.0 / Bobb / Harwood-Bellis / 4.0

Looks decent but you are gonna get roasted for the Rashford pick

I had Rashford in my opening draft so I don't hate this list actually!

In fact, the draft is pretty good. I like a lot of it but I would reduce the risky picks down by 1 or 2. The entire midfield other than Salah is speculative.

A solid proven performer like Gordon is good.

      Any thoughts on this draft:
      Flekken
      Gvardiol, Saliba, Burn
      Nkunku, Bruno, Gordon, Eze
      Haaland, Gakpo, Isak
      4.0, Faes, Anderson, Roger’s
      1.0 itb
I was going with Salah but if he’s going to be playing wider I’m not sure what his output will look like. His price is for goals, not assists. I have Haaland now as it’s easier to downgrade I think. Will probably try get another Liverpool player in somewhere with their opening fixtures.

Playing an attacker against your own defender or gk in week 1, not once but twice, is indicative of how confused this draft is. 1.0 in the bank but every position needs strengthening almost immediately, I don't really get it tbh.
