For the information of all nudists and lollygaggers, here is the template:

    Areola
    TAA/Robinson/Mykolenko
    Salah/Eze/Gordon/Nkunku
    Haaland/Isak/Muniz

    Fabianski/Winks/Barco/Harwood-Ellis

The “template” within the realms of content creators and sites like this is only a tiny corner of the overall amount that play.
The overall template surely must go off ownership from the all game players.

              • 13 Years

There is no such thing as the overall template. Are you confusing terms with most selected XV?

                • 7 Years
                2 months, 29 days ago

I guess I am, I’ve always understood the term template to be the most selected players, especially in pre season.

What I can’t get my head around is if say for instance, you don’t choose Watkins and by this terminology he is not template, then you are going against the template, but he’s >50% owned so seems odd to me.

            I'd say the template is...
            Areola
            White / Gvadiol / Burn
            Salah(c) / Gordon / Nkunku / CHO
            Haaland / Isak / Muniz
            (£4.0m + 3 x £4.5m)

The FPL Scout's preset squad loading up on penalty-takers was:
        Flekken
        Saliba, Burn, Pau
        Palmer, Saka, Eze, Gibbs-White
        Haaland, Isak, Muniz
        (Vladimarsson, Davis, Harwood-Bellis, Anthony)

The FPL Scout's early draft squad for the start of the season was:
        Flekken
        Gabriel, Gvardiol, Burn
        M.Salah, Palmer, Foden, Eze
        Isak, Havertz, Muniz
        (Valdimarsson, Davis, Anthony, Harwood-Bellis)

That's a Template C squad, but is it THE Template C squad?

Dont like Kudus' fixtures and Bailey seems like a punt, Rogers could be ok as your 8th attacker. I've flip flopped between Nkunku and CHO, I'm on CHO at the moment so that I can have 2 premium defenders

Currently toying with ditching one of my big three. Changes I'm looking at:

Haaland (Andreas, Winks, 4.0) --> Watkins, Eze, Kulu and 5.5+ defender
Haaland (Winks, 4.0) --> Watkins, Son, 4.5 def
Palmer (Winks, 4.0) --> Nkunku, Eze, and 5-5.5M defender
Salah (Andreas, 4.5) --> Son, Mac, Robbo

How about Isak over Haaland with 6.5m itb to swap to Haaland in GW2?

    • 15men1cup
      • 6 Years
      2 months, 29 days ago

Running drafts all day. (at work) The ones with Haaland in are looking so weak.

      4.5, (4.0)
      Trent, Gvardiol, Gabriel, (4.0, 4.0)
      Salah, Saka, Son, Eze (4.5)
      Isak, Wood, Pedro

0.5 ITB for Son to Palmer in GW2 or 3

Pedro is back in training and Wood looks good but can be Muniz

If I put Haaland in I would lose Saka and Son and half the defence.

      Thoughts?

        Same issue as me.
I ended up ditching Salah and rebuild. But fear him being straight out of the blocks this season.

Thoughts on this 4-4-2 draft. ?

      Pope
      Saliba Gvardiol Porro Mykolenko
      Salah Gordon Eze CHO
      Haaland Isak

      4.0, 4.5, 4.5, 4.0

No TAA or Arsenal attacker is an issue.

I'm not completely averse to 442 but I wouldn't want to play Mykolenko every week. I'd probably downgrade Eze to a 6.5 and get another 4.5def to rotate with Mykolenko

Tried to do a Salah+Haaland team but was underwhelmed..... tricky to make a team this year.

How do you think the below looks (Aside from lack of Salah...)
Darwin could become DCL to free up 1.5m or elsewhere (e.g. Darwin misfires from the start and Elliot/Quansah are not a starter, could become DCL and 5.5 DF / Slobozlai)

      Pickford (Virginia)
      Castagne, Saliba, Gvardiol (Quansah, Faes)
      Saka, Johnson, Garnacho, Nkunku (Elliot)
      Haaland, Isaak, Darwin

      1. Whiskerz

It's a bit too punty imo.

Not sure starts for quansah, Johnson, nkunku, elliot, darwin. I'd have maybe even said garnacho before the injuries, but now I don't think utd have many options left.

I'd try to narrow it down to 2/3 max. Or you could be in a real mess by gw2.

I would prefer to just go without Liverpool attack if you’re not going Salah.

Johnson, Garnacho and Nkunku are all good picks in their own right but it’s a bit unbalanced

My Salah version was this in the end

          Pickford (Virginia)
          Castagne, Saliba, Gvardiol (Barco, Faes)
          Salah, Hudson-Odoi, Garnacho, Nkunku (Ayew)
          Haaland, Isaak, Calverr-Lewin

          Ayew could be Andreas

          £0.5m ITB

The Salah and Haaland team is better you think?

Yeah, I think that’s better. I’d just recommend you have something in mind as a route to the likes of Foden/Saka (even Gordon) etc. if you want them later (I think you will want at least 1 and your only route to them in one transfer as it stands would be from Salah

I had a team with Saka, Salah and Haaland but then then it was no Isaak and the rest of the forward players were dross........

I think it would be a ditching of Haaland or Salah if I went for e.g. Foden at a later date e.g. Salah+1 out and Foden and Saka in

I think Elliott could be worth the risk; just have to hope we get some indication whether he'll keep the 10 role when Mac is back. Quansah I'm not sure... would probably just pick a more reliable 4.5 there who can rotate with Robinson. Don't really see why anyone would gamble on Darwin at this stage. Slot comments yesterday would suggest he's pretty happy with Jota's start as the 9

    • Fletch69

      Pickford
      Saliba, Gvardiol, Andersen
      Palmer, Saka, Gordon, Eze, Rodri
      Isak, Watkins

      Areola
      Robinson
      Mykolenko
      Wissa

Andersen & Areola to rotate with subs depending on fixtures.

    • adstomko

      Raya
      White - Livramento - Hall
      Son - Ødegaard - Johnson - CHO - Elliott
      Haaland - Isak
      (Fabianski - Trent - Barco - Cannon)

Don’t think Trent starts GW1, hence he’s on the bench.
Would like another 6.5m midfielder instead of a 5.5m, but can’t have them all.

I reckon you get that more expensive mid by losing TAA and probably White out for Gvardiol.

      Any feedback please?

      Verbuggen / Fabianski
      Munoz / Burn / Gvardiol
      Salah / Eze / Hudson-Odoi / Nkunku
      Haaland / Havertz / Isak

      Fabianski / Rogers / Barco / Harwod-Bellis

I've only just changed Watkins > Havertz and Garnacho > Eze. No Watkins scares me a little but using player comparison tool on here Eze actually outscores Watkins just and Havertz v watkins isn't too much difference either... Also allowed me to upgrade Winks > Rogers for the bench so if he does start and Villa doing well then I have some Villa attacking cover on the bench. Keepers likely to change, just 4.5 & 4 place holders until closer to the start really.

      1. Eze Really?

IMO, everyone is too concerned about using transfers. Little will change if injury records don't change.

Don't want to spend 6m+ on an Arsenal defender with Villa, City & Spurs (all away) in first 6
Expect City to start slow with players not back from holidays (& chelsea, ars, new in first 6) so don't want Gvardiol.
Porro brilliant going forward but also crap fixtures and Spurs iffy defensively.

      Who are the alternatives?

yea currently on TAA, Munoz, Mitchell. Interested in Gvardiol if same position as last season but gonna wait and see, and Porro if taking set-pieces (not sure if Maddison will start).

Newcastle defence worth considering if Hall/Livra/Burn etc become clear on who is likely starting GW1 onwards

10 mil on keepers don't like
Maatsen/Livramento minutes issues (I'm assuming you think Trips will leave though)
Really like the front 6 though. Nkunku maybe a punt too far given there are safer options at 6.5..

My main concern with Nkunku would be staying fit, I think if he stays fit could be Chelsea's main man this year, I reckon Livramento might play lb anyway if trips stays. Maatsen is a big punt but if he does play he might play lm in the 442 that Emery plays

dont like porro much and prefer other options over mgw but hes fine... the main thing is I would either start with haaland or leave him out, you dont wanna sell isak after his gw1 haul

I think I like the option to take it or leave it, Isak could blank GW1 then it becomes an easy switch, otherwise city mid comes in with the money

Who do you guys think is the best 6.5m midfielder to start with?
I'm on MGW atm and will probably switch in GW4.

I don't remember ever seeing a player of his calibre at 6.5
