    Onana Raya
Trent De Ligt Porro Hall Gabriel
    Eze Mbeumo Gordon Jota Diaz
    Havertz Pedro Isak

    3.1 ITB 0FT

should I wildcard? I can in theory bench my Arsenal Gabriel & Raya next two.

Onana, De Ligt, Hall, Gordon are probably the only ones I'm not happy with. Despite not having the obvious two I seem to be hanging on quite well.

It probably is. I feel like I'm going to want Saka Palmer Foden Eze Mbeumo Havertz João Pedro on WC. Perhaps triple Liverpool defence at this rate. I'm still unsure on Haaland, Salah, Salah + Haaland or no Salah and Haaland balance. Foden could change quite a lot.

Possibly one of the worst line ups I've ever seen. No Haaland, Salah, Palmer, Saka, Son. 10.5 on keepers. Doubled up on Utd defence.
      Wildcard needed.

That’s the worst team I’ve seen to be honest.

That terrible team has 246 points and is higher ranked than everyone in the Great and the Good league 😀

But I mostly agree. That team will really struggle soon. BB in GW1 and then two lucky captain hauls from Son in 2 and Mbeumo in 3 are keeping it afloat.

I think Jota Diaz is better than Salah if you are not captaining him

17 points for Haaland is a point per million so you have to captain him

Diaz is flying mbeumo, Eze patience Havertz is great Raya is great Trent is great and Salah did his best to stop a haul.

I agree you need one big name for a captian. But you have nailed the value picks

Everyone should learn from this team

I triple captained Haland so currently around aro und 255.FWIW. very happy and lucky

So many good ways to gain points.

    Afternoon all.

I’m in a LMS comp, who is more likely to win their next fixture all things considered (returning after intl break, form, history v oppo, home form, oppo away form etc).

    A. Villa (EVE)
    B. Brighton (IPS)

      From FFS article, 1st Sept....

'Pedro, a one-cap wonder, isn’t in Brazil’s squad for the September internationals. Had he been called up, he would have been involved for his country in the early hours of the Wednesday morning before Gameweek 4.

Instead, he should be nicely rested for Ipswich Town at home in a fortnight’s time'.

if there was no captaincy sure

I think Jota is a good example of the answer to this. Pre season we were all debating was Salah worth 5m more than Jota. I was a loud advocate that he was worth the extra, but it was a fair debate to be having.

In hindsight would you have paid 5m more for 24 points additional in 3 weeks.

The point is there will absolutely be mid price players that prove Salah not to be worth the extra but we don’t know who.

Whereas so much of Salah’s value is, when fit, he is incredibly consistent. So Diaz + £5m might be a good deal, but we just don’t know and won’t know until much later so the less risky thing is just have Salah and budget elsewhere

For me, Salah v BOU (H) is the best captaincy pick in GW5.

For folks finding it difficult to get to Salah, who are the alternative GW5 captaincy picks to consider?

        - Jota/Diaz (70 mins) v BOU (H)
        - TAA v BOU (H)
        - Son/Solanke v BRE (H)
        - Palmer v whu (A)

            0 returns last season.

A should be the most sensible, but I'm a bit iffy on Villa defense.

They don't seem to have kept a cleanie in a while (end of last or start of new season).

They've had a few injuries to contended with at the start of this season (affect overall balance).

They'll now also have Europe to contend with, which will leave players a bit stretched.

If you do get one, the only nailed option really for now is Konsa - who has very little upside. (Digne or Maatsten would be better - but you can't tell who's starting yet.)

B... aside from the next two I don't think the fixtures are great defensively for a while.

C... we all know the risk with Pep. He's not nailed at all. Walker will be back, as will Rodri. Fixtures also tricky short term. But if you've got starters to cover, the potential upside is there. Should really have scored once or twice in the last two as well. City are still a top team so overall the CS points may weighg equally to a more nailed option.

At the end of the day I think it's tricky in a couple of weeks you may want different defenders altogether.

Leif Davis is worth a shout - but plays for a terrible defense!

Thanks. You asked my questions for me.

It's between Konsa & Lewis for me. Konsa is a safer bet with good fixtures in the next 3. Lewis is the stand-out imo with obvious risk.

Leif Davis could be worth a look, but I need to see more. No idea at this point how effective he'll be, attacking wise, in the PL.

Close atm and 2 weeks to go. I'd lean with yes, but maybe not for a few days.

Calm down a bit after last night so didnt make early transfers. Best move here ? jota isnt really covering salah aswell as I thought so thats a problem but cant see how to get salah without getting rid of either isak or saka.

            A. KDB and Isak > Salah and Welbeck -4
            B. KDB and Saka > Salah and Eze -4
            C. KDB and andreas > Diaz and eze -4
            D. Roll

            Pope
            Lewis TAA Robinson
            Saka KDB Andreas Jota
            Isak Haaland(C) Pedro

            slicker rogers faes harwood

KDB>Eze is actually a good suggestion, have some money in the bank and see how the landscape looks ahead of gw 5. KDB got brentford at home which is a great fixture but eze is more talismanic so to speak

Yeah. KDB is the type of player that will punish you if you sell him though

something feels wrong about takin saka out, spurs are wide open then one tough fixture before a great run

I'd probably roll this week and then do B in GW5. WC in 6.

cheers already played wc in gw 2 though so getting rid of saka isnt really an option, have exact money for isak and kdb > salah and welbeck though but that would rule out havertz in gw 6 for isak as was the plan

Can anyone explain why I'm seeing wildcard drafts with Ui-Jo?
Is there any inclination that he might ever start a game? Or is it a random place holder at 4.5?

So I want to do Saka->Salah and bring in Semenyo to afford him. Question is do I transfer out Garnacho or Jota to keep bit more in the bank?

People seem to be forgetting that players hitting high double-digits scores week-in, week-out is not the norm. Feel some should chillax a little.

The pricing and the pedrmance of the premiums has made this a great start to the season gameplay-wise, though.

            Team feels like a shambles

            Areola (Fab)
            Konsa, Martinez, Robinson (Andersen, Johnson)
            Palmer, Bruno, Gordon, Doku (Nkunku)
            Haaland, Isak, Muniz

            2fts
Contemplating WC but with good fixtures for New & Mun I'm leaning towards just a hit or 2 with Doku, Nkunku out & maybe a defender upgrade

            any thoughts?

they're 2 on the list. Have .5 itb aswell

Doku to Eze is the most likely 1st move

Lack of L'pool is worrying me. have a few days to mull over WC

Both bruno and gordon have good fixtures gw 4 so pool could possibly wait 1 week but if not wildcard maybe and get salah and TAA in

                    I've been toying with that

the 2fts being banked for post WC has me thinking that could be a good option but Gordon & Bruno could easily do well

Would you do Gabriel to Robbo for 3rd Liverpool?

            TAA Gabriel Robinson Johnson Barco

It makes a nice change to be (currently) beating all The Great and the Good in both captaincy points and overall rank. Wonder how long I can make that last... Great article from Greyhead as per usual.
