    2 FT & 0.0 ITB
    Sanchez
    Robbo Robinson Greaves Mazaroui (Lewis)
    Eze Salah Saka (Adana) (Franca)
    Haaland Jao-Pedro Havertz

Is Lewis out the main priority? If so who to?
Do I stick with Eze or go Diaz?

As Duke pointed out on the last page, early KO so chance of Lewis leak. Keep an eye on Pedro fitness updates. Otherwise I'd rather fix that Adama - Franca pairing - can you upgrade one of them?

Thanks for your response, so i'll hold Lewis and wait on a leak, if he isn't starting who should I look at replacing him with? Franca just 3rd place fodder agree with Adama though just means sacrificing elsewhere

Maybe look at Forest defenders for a straight 4.5m swap? But personally I would be inclined to leave Lewis a few weeks & see what happens, since all your other defenders are playable.

Something about 433 just gives me the shudders so if you're not playing Adama every week I would maybe upgrade Franca to someone who rotates well with Fulham (like Semenyo), or just find funds to upgrade Franca. Then you only need to start 3 defenders so it eases the pressure there also

      That's a pretty weak midfield.

I'd look to address it asap. Also seems like a team that doesn't have WC in hand? I'd try and survive this week then sell Salah and use it to upgrade Franca.

Cheers for your response Camzy. Very on point...unfortunately burnt the WC. Is upgrading Franca essential since he is 3rd sub?

I guess not but Adama + Pedro every week is not good long term.

I couldn't agree more. Anything to do now that springs to mind? or just hold and sort after this GW. Lewis is a major concern seen people suggesting the Rodri injury may help him but I have my doubts totally different roles

Lewis is an easy hold and we'll likely have a leak before this week.

The Adama and Pedro slots will drag your score down long term if not addressed. Good FPL imo is more about taking out your weakest performers than it is on getting the highest scorers. If you could do both with one transfer that's ideal ofc but if you're constantly fixing your weakest spots your team will be improving and that's all you can really do.

Appreciate some early thoughts ? I have 3 FT with 0.4m. Not really sure about losing Salah tbh.

    Verbrug, 4.0

    Lewis, TAA, Mazraoui, Konsa, Greaves

    Salah, Diaz, Semenyo, Mbeumo, Minteh

    Haaland, JP, Jackson

I think you gotta sell tbh. You have no Arsenal and no way of generating funds.

Salah + Konsa > Saka + Gabriel is pretty clean and gets you pretty on track.

    The future of football?

    - Yellow/Red cards for endangerment and cynical fouls
    - New 2-card system to send players to sin bin for technical infringements
    - Clock counts only when ball is in play (35min(?) halves)
    - Stopping advantage from a restart is a cynical foul
    - Time wasting is not an infringement unless a player is refusing to play football and boring everyone

    1. Deulofail
      • 8 Years
      2 months, 27 days ago

Maybe cynical fouls can be a straight-to-the-sin-bin card instead

      - Clock counts only when ball is in play (35min(?) halves)

From what I understand, this would actually result in us seeing more football

I also read something once about La Liga being more adherent to the added on time whereas in the PL refs tend to try and account for subs and stoppages within the added time and extend accordingly

      1. Deulofail
        • 8 Years
        2 months, 27 days ago

Wel, it depends on the length of the half

        1. El_Matador
          • 13 Years
          2 months, 27 days ago

Yeah but generally speaking as there is no real advantage to delaying play, teams will stop doing it. It was an old article like 5 years ago but it did make sense. From memory I think they were advocating for 30 min halves.

          1. Deulofail
            • 8 Years
            2 months, 27 days ago

Sure, let's go for 30 mins then! I think the point that there is no real advantage to delaying is a good reason to stop punishing it with yellow cards (and potentially suspensions as a result).

          2. Deulofail
            • 8 Years
            2 months, 27 days ago

I'm confused about the point, actually. In PL, refs extend time for time-wasting, so there is no advantage to time-wasting. And yet, we see time-wasting all the time...

Anyway, in the solution in the OP, there would be no advantage and practically zero time-wasting (except for players trying to recover from exhaustion and injury within the game. But then, the game can still go on or else the have to leave the field.)

Madueke to a 4.8 mid and JP to Jackson

WC Draft #3. How’s this look? TAA the main player dropped to get Palmer.

    Raya
    Gabriel Konate Colwill (Konsa, Greaves)
    Palmer Saka Semenyo Rogers Mbeumo
    Haaland Solanke/Jackson (4.4)

    1. Miguel Sanchez

havertz good, would prioritise double defence for Arsenal so that leaves 1 of havertz/saka. good news about Odegaard not being out for too long, so Havertz can get back to exclusively striker soon. 2mil is a big save.

foden is an interesting one, see if he gets minutes today. at some point he has to start firing so its a risk but big pay off if you get in before anyone else

DCL or Wood for 3rd FWD spot on WC?

Both 6mil ish. On pens. Great fixtures as far as the eye can see. Nailed. Possibly donkeys.

      Could Ndiaye threaten DCL's minutes?

No because Ndiaye is a winger. Beto & Broja are DCL's completion

      I'd not go near DCK

Is Dalot worth consideration on a Wildcard, or stick with a 4.5M defender and save some cash or upgrade elsewhere.

Would you say Dalot is more attacking than De Ligt?

On my radar. Not sure how many of the next 5 I'd want to start him in (maybe just West Ham?), but still a decent chance I just go with him anyway on WC in a rotation

Not seeing many WC teams with Madueke in, has the ship sailed or are people not picking him because he's no longer an exciting pick.

He's not been very good bar the hat trick, and he's a really annoying person in general. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets dropped soon.

He is very annoying, ha. He seems to get chances though, even apart from the hatrick

      There are better for cheaper.

ESR and Semenyo are clear imo. If you pay more, I'd be looking at Diaz and Maddison.

Semenyo has 2 class games but then after that the fixtures aren't great.

ESR is a good pick as is McNeil.

too much competition for starting spot with Neto

Using FTs or even WC to shuffle between the likes of Salah, Saka, Palmer (while Haaland is a must now) is wasteful

I don't see why you'd have to pick & stick. Fixtures and form always play a big role for me anyway

    On WC:

    A: Bowen + Wood
    B: Smith Rowe + Watkins

I am seeing WC teams with Flekken as their GK. You have to get Raya as your set and forget GK if you're on WC now. At that price point, he's a no brainer.

Raya Saka Haaland, my set and forget from week 1. Nothing has changed

Silly question - but would you take a hit to avoid a 0.1 drop in value? In my case, specifically Burn who barely seems PL quality.

for a .1 drop, no. But if you want the player out anyway, then yes.

Thanks! My problem is that there isn't any great alternative that I think might rise. If it translated to 0.2, it would tempt me a tad more - just hate losing the value.

Yeah - can't think of a replacement I love. Defense is Gabriel, VVD, Romero, Robinson and Burn. Don't ask me how I own Romero. 🙂

How do you go differential while staying reasonable?

E.g, do you have to go DCL (4.6%) over Wood (8.4%)? Tho both much are less owned than likes of Watkins, Pedro, Isak or Havertz. Or someone here said Semenyo is temple attacker (7.3%) but still with lower ownership than Eze (22.9%) or ESR (29.6%), like do you have to go all the way down to Maddison (4.5%) or Savio (1.6%)?
