Ok I’ve changed my mind I think we DO need more transparency from FPL towers about price changes. Duran wasn’t near a price rise according to Fix etc. and Mbuemo was almost certain to rise, with the likes of Pedro / Gibbs White to drop.

I sometimes wonder if even they know what the changes are gonna be?

      100%.

I am on wc and needed to leave one out from my bus team last night. I left Diaz out and he was the only one who rose out of Semenyo, Saka, Mbuemo etc players that were forecasted to rise. Now if I want Diaz back in wc I have lost the 0.1. If I knew I naturally would have had Diaz today and not e.g. Mbuemo now in the bus team.

Then why can’t the official FPL powers that be tell us what’s about to happen then?

Just copy any difficult surname from the transfer page if not sure. In the last two pages there are eight instances where the 'e' and the 'u' have switched order in this template player's name. It took a while but most now get 'Rogers' correct instead of 'Rodgers'.

Isn’t it wildcard that cause this problem. My understanding it was only FTs that affect pricing so in weeks where loads of people are wildcarding, the wildcard transfers massively skew the data.

        1. Ederson = easy switch back to Raya

Are the two he's out for going to be 1 point cameos is the question.

Still think he's probably worth it, but I realise I don't like the team news deadline stress so I'm leaning towards safer picks that'll definitely play all 6 games.

        TAA-Gabriel-Saliba (Mykolenko,Greaves)
        Palmer-Diaz-Mbeumo-Semenyo-Rogers

Jackson to Solanke soon and if Palmer dissapoints then switch to Saka. I know Saka could be optimal pick, but still don't see him as expolosive as Palmer.

That's right but overall, without Raya, I believe their CS chances are somehow going down, while at the same time Raya was such a good pick because of his price and save points/BPS potential. Honestly, I would be considering Timber over Saliba now if going for a second defender.

        WC, gtg? (0.0 ITB)

        Flekken / Sanches
        TAA-Gabriel-Lewis (Mykolenko,Greaves)
        Salah-Diaz-Mbeumo-Semenyo-Rogers
        Haaland-Wood-DCL

Any love for this Liverpool WC instead of jumping to Arsenal (Liverpool are scoring a lot more than Arsenal in all competitions)
        1. Was going Raya with 4.0, but not risking that and think it could be wise to go for rotation, already seen Alison out and know Raya possibly injured.
        2. Going with a strong overall squad instead of 4.5 mids/fws, already burnt with Jota and Jao Pedro.
        3. Can´t see how to fit in more Arsenal as I´m not willing to drop Salah for the next 2 weeks. Any suggestion?

I do like it as a Salah draft, but just really not keen on those two cheap forwards.

It's good but you don't need to rotate between 3 GKS u just get good one with 4 M GK
I would feel Hesitate every week for who bench ur front 8

Liverpool have been scoring more than Arsenal so far. Does this mean the trend will only continue? I’m not so sure. Always risky using past results to predict what is going to happen and the fixtures haven’t been this kind to Arsenal yet. I would heavily back Arsenal to score big in these games and going without is very risky. Diaz is enough attacking cover for Liverpool imo. Salah goes from Haaland level (almost) for being clinical to prime Obertan. He just isn’t a player you can hang your hat on to score big when you need him to and that is a major issue when it comes to the armband especially at that price. Of course he can haul and punish non owners but being confident when those weeks will be is impossible. And the Liverpool attack is very fluid, dynamic and the threat is coming from one of 5 players in Diaz, Salah, Jota, Darwin, Gakpo. It’s not a focal point attack and any one of them is getting on the end of it. I am glad I did Salah > Saka and the armband is reserved for Haaland who you know nine times out of ten it will work out.

But Liverpool are yet to face a serious test while Arsenal have already had 3 tough fixtures & scored in all of them

For thw record, Arsenal scored 5 as well on Wednesday.

What puts me off Liverpool is the increased rotation risk. Other than under Klopp, nobody knows Slots thoughts about managing his players minutes. Even Salah is not 100% safe anymore with Chiesa slowly up to speed. Same with TAA and Robbo.

Maybe you could say the same about Arsenal. However, Arteta is still around and always played Saka and his two centre backs in the past. Unlikely, that he would change that. That's the difference.

And of course, two easy home fixtures in a row. Liverpool playing away which is usually slightly harder.

Although I'm currently on Mbuemo I am getting the fear re haaland. I think city had 30 shots last season which is a worry...

Just joking about the spelling (see above). I don't mind that decision at all - I'm capping Mbeumo in a different format. Actually have him as my FPL bus captain too but honestly I'm probably going to go with Haaland, having only just brought him in for the first time this season and feeling a need to stop the bleeding

Yeah I can see haaland running riot v newcastle tbh. But if you cap someone else who hauls when haaland blanks you will make up a massive amount and I think this gw is worth the risk.

Yeah it's close. I really don't see Haaland blanking but I would guess the probabilities are fairly evenly split between 1 & 2 returns. And pretty similar for Mbeumo, but could nick it with the extra point per goal & CS maybe.

I've put a tenner on a haaland hat trick which would soften the blow. City are also 6/1 for 10+ shots on target which looks great

        B. Flekken & 5.4 (Konate) & Havertz

Not seeing many Havertz - Watkins - Haaland front lines. I think I'd sacrifice both Trent and Porro for that and get Saka, Diaz, Mbeumo as your base. I can understand Solanke or Jackson instead of Havertz if you are going double defence.

        Maybe it's Wood, Watkins Haaland.

Nope, Have got my faith in Haaland/Havertz/Watkins front line. Easy downgrade when needed. Other 5 at mo are Diaz/Foden/Mbeumo/ESR/Rogers.

Morning all. City have a great run from gw7-11/12 which deserves a triple up in normal circs, but they are a total one man team ff-wise, not sure about the def and there's no standout mid either. Had planned Foden but only played 20 mins off the bench v arsenal.

        Any thoughts?

I was thinking about Foden on WC - if he'd started v Arsenal I probably would have tried to work him in. And, to a lesser extent, Savio. But in the end I think I'll just wait a couple more weeks to decide & see how they look with Foden back first. Saka is not necessarily a permanent hold for me so I don't mind using that spot for Foden in GW9

Cheers. My plan was palmer to foden in gw8, so lets see if he works his way into the team in the next 2. I have saka too and think he's set and forget for the season really.

Maz v Lewis is coin toss. Lewis could haul, but Maz is safer pick and utd def looks decent.

          I'd play Rogers v ipswich
