Injuries might force my hand this week. The plan is to Wildcard either in Matchday 6 or, depending on how things play out, in Matchday 7.

In terms of long term strategy/structure, what are you thinking? I think I’m settled on no Haaland until Gw18 at the earliest, given City’s awful form and his run of blanks. The power 3 in midfield with someone like Kulusevski as the 7th attacker, likely my preference. Jackson/Pedro/Cunha up front for the foreseeable. Bowen is tempting me, though going with Kulu means I can get double Arsenal defence alongside Konate. Spurs have decent long-term fixtures also.

This in GW14, with the option to sell Mbeumo, but more likely just rotate him with Rogers a little bit. Then stay patient and build up FTs for 5GWs+, only making transfers in case of injuries and the like. Hope that Jackson gets suspended for a GW in which Pedro, Mbeumo and Rogers all have good fixtures. Rotate Digne and Mazraoui (it's quite beautiful) and hope Digne starts the games I start him. If I need cash later, consider downgrading Pope to Areola.

      Pope Fabianski
      Calafiori Timber Mazraoui Digne Keane
      Salah Palmer Saka Mbeumo Rogers
Isak Jackson Pedro | 0.1 ITB

I hope this answers your questions

Similar strategy but I have my wildcard if I need to revert back to Haaland if he starts banging them in again. Was even playing with a fourmium and it isn’t too bad given how many good, cheap options we have this year

Fair enough. Nice to have that in the back pocket. I would say that he may not be worth the switch-up even if he is banging in the goals. Imagine a scenario in which you WC Haaland back in and your pre-WC team continues to score more than your WC team over and over again, even with Haaland scoring a goal or two a goal. Over and over again! Imagine it!

Could argue the same in reverse though mate ie I didn’t bring him back in and the Haaland team was scoring more than my pre-WC team over and over. Best thing to do is wait til GW18 or 19 and then with more data see what’s what and make the most informed decision possible. Until then though I intend to go without. No FT this week and then next week ESR and Haaland out for Saka and Jackson

Yeah fair enough. Just having all that money in one player means it works if he does a lot, and fails if it doesn't. The alternative strategy doesn't hinge on one player, and can continue to work if one player sucks, and you can more easily improve it. When prices were released, the consensus was that Haaland was not going to be worth 15m for most of the season. I think his fast start has filled us with fear, but the rationale is still the same: He mad spenny

      Do you have your wildcard?

I'm completely torn between these 2...which defense do you prefer on a WC?

    A) Fabianski Forster
    Gabriel Saliba RAN VanHecke VandenBerg
    B) Raya 4.0
    Gabriel Kerkez RAN VanHecke VandenBerg

    Pedro: 6 returns in 6
    Jackson: 11 returns in 12
    Isak: 6 returns in 10

Maybe Pedro is gonna out score them all over his good fixture swing but being cheaper makes me think he’s a worse pick

If you don't have Palmer, go Jackson. But if you do, Pedro is your best bet.

Van Hecke is more nailed than Dunk anyway. If Dunk comes in Igor is more of the fall guy, but Igor has been playing really well so that's not a given.

Guirrasy traveled with the squad and this is what the sporting director said:
“We are happy that he is somewhat healthy again. We will see whether that will be enough for the starting eleven.”

Guirrasy doesn't play in the english league mate. Pedro is your best bet.

    Flekken Fabianski
    Ait-Nouri Dalot Gabriel Faes Greaves
    Mbuemo Bruno Rogers Semenyo Salah
    Raul JPedro Haaland

1 FT 2.3 ITB. Want to get in Saka but I can only get him either directly for Bruno, or I would need to take a -4. Worth it to do:
    A) Haaland > Cunha / Jackson + Mbuemo / Semenyo > Saka for -4
    or
    B) Haaland > Cunha / Jackson this week and the other transfer next week

    or just roll..?

Mbeumo has a great fixture, while Saka plays away and has Champions League in the meantime. I wouldn't do the transfer, especially for a hit.

        Raya
        Gabriel Ait Nouri Aina
        Saka Palmer(c) Salah Mbeumo
        Raul Welbeck Isak

        Bentley Konate Greaves Semenyo

1 free transfer, 0 in the bank

        A)Roll
        B)Raul to Pedro
        C)Welbeck to Pedro

I'm not sure double Brighton attack is worth it, they weren't convincing against Bournemouth. Fulham, on the other hand, have some ugly fixtures, too.

        Gabriel RAN VanHecke (Konate VanBerg)
        Salah Palmer Saka Mitoma (Semenyo)

So does Welbeck just not bother trying to scope when Pedro plays? I have 4FT and only have plans to use 2 of them this week, is it worth the extra transfer or is it a sideways move?

        a) Welbeck => Pedro
        b) Save
