      Best Sanchez and Jackson replacement?

      A - Alisson & Mateta
      B - Pickford & Gakpo

Going Pickford for one extra game where they will be lucky to get 2 points seems mad. Although Gakpo offers more upside than Allison.

        Id go B

I think the longer people leave it the more they'll be holding off on transfers and trying to keep back 1.5 etc... so much uncertainty on where and who those other doubles will be. If you want Slot you might not get another double if they don't make the semis and final of the two cups

              Yeah, pretty much agree.

Using it in the GW33 or GW36 is going to be difficult because you'd like to spend transfers on doublers rather than managers imho, unless you use it just after the wildcard.

But imho you'd like to use bench boost after the wildcard. If you activate AM in GW33 then you can't WC in 35 either and BB36 is less appealing. The longer I think about it, the more mess it becomes later on and the more I'd like to use it early. Now looks like a really good time to easily set it up.

The only drawback is that Liverpool fixtures are not that easy. But on the other hand, if you don't use AM, then these fixtures are not easy for a TC either.

Nah very little upside even if everything goes to plan for using it on slot especially if TC is available

I think Slot will outscore Salah in the double. They're two games I dont see many goals in but Liverpool will find a way to win. Could see at least one more captaincy fail from Mo in there. Plus Wolves after the double is pretty much a banker. Don't see Liverpool losing to City. I'd take 3 wins and a draw from it and whatever extra comes from goals scored and cleans.

My plan is to do Slot to Marco Silva in 25 to chase the table bonus. Then Silva to Arteta/Pep but probably the former.

You have to use one really, because there's only going to be 2 more doubles most likely and you also have BB, which is not an option in 24.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to. Although I doubt we'll actually have DGWers on our benches for BB.
BB is a very overrated chip imo.

I agree about BB mainly because I dont see much upside in having 15 players but 7 of them are defensive ones who get penalised for conceding goals. You gain 1 attacking player over normal circumstances.

I think assman could end up overrated too. Longshot bias springs to mind from gambling which is broadly that we are less able to accurately predict the likelihood of something unlikely happening and instead get lured in by the potential rewards. In gambling that is you get big (but probably not big enough) odds. In FPL they've dangled this table bonus stuff which we're just lapping up without really thinking about the likelihood of picking out 3 losers.

You have to factor in that a 1-1 with bonus gets you 9 points, where a 2-1 win without bonus gets you 8 points.
Basically, it's win or draw with 20 point upside vs. win.

Pool will have ~50% chance of winning at Bournemouth and according to Elevenify's model 61% at Everton.

      Hello fellas,
Had a pretty lousy gameweek, did Lewis>TAA straight away on Saturday, but still 2ft left. Any more changes needed or good to go with this team?

      Sels
      TAA, Gabriel, Hall
      Salah(c), Palmer, Gordon, Martinelli
      Isak, Wissa, Wood

      Fabianski, Amad, Robinson, Mazraoui

Neither am I. Dont have money for Mbeumo (also not keen on doubling with Wissa). Rogers is an option, its true, but this week they both have good fixtures so not sure its worth a transfer.
Also, solid chance Villa is a blank in GW29

100% Some of those fixture difficulty ratings look like they were done preseason and not on rolling form. Brentford not a good bet for a cleansheet for Spurs but a good bet to score more than them.

Nothing has helped my rank more than others looking at the FDR ticker. That said, it's green for attackers and red for defenders.
On xG and xGC for the season. Brentford is 8th attack and 15th defense. Spurs 5th attack and 14th defense.

          Cry - 9th D
          Ful - 4th D
          Eve - 8th D
          ^^folks saw green, hence troll

          The following 4:
          Wol - 16th D on xGC
          Mci - 11th D
          Whu - 17th D
          Bri - 12th D

          Ah I see.

2nd leg is on February 6th and Spurs - Fulham would need to be rescheduled to ~18th Feb. Isn't it too short of a turnaround?

Spurs are brutal but it's not as if Pool have been so class lately. Drew 2, lost 1, beat Accrington Stanley and only beat Brentford in injury time. Lille will be no pushover tonight but can probably rest players v PSV next week if they win. Very reliant on a tired looking Salah for goals. He could get a week or two off when CL qualifiers are played.

A draw is enough for Liverpool to confirm qualification to top 8 in UCL.

Lille are on a 20 match unbeaten run and are in contention for automatic qualification in 8th place

Yeah, they're 8th. Should be a cracking game tonight. I wonder do teams put much store in the seedings for later rounds? As someone rightly said here it'll be the luck of the draw. Liverpool could be playing a revived Real or Man City in QF and their seeding's not much advantage then. The round 8 games should be class. 18 games kicking off at 8 and plenty fir many to play for.

It'll have to be announced around GW24. Fulham v Spurs in 29 would move to 25 subject to Spurs being in the EFL cup final and PL need to assume Spurs will progress far into FAC and Europa League as there aren't enough free midweek slots post GW30.

They can on the basis it's subject to Spurs progressing to EFL cup Final. Exact same as how they announced the Everton Liverpool DGW which is subject to Liverpool qualifying top 8 in UCL and not require knock out play off, scheduled in the same week as the double

GWs 36-38 are also appealing, assuming that you will WC35 then. But then you need to bench boost in 33, which is not so great imho (unless you still have FH and can use it in 29). It would be TC24 + FH29 + BB33 + WC35 + AM36.

I'd always play the attacker. That said Arsenal CS odds 2,1 and Wood anytime scorer 3,4.

Now that most people have sold Jackson, the stage is set for his brace against M. City. Classic FPL.

Really don't like this new chip, navigating through blanks and doubles is such a pain now. Why does it even need to span 3 GWs?

Also, it's really funny that you could activate it to aim for table bonus and then by the 3rd game week the manager could no longer be eligible for the bonus.

          1. Captain Mal

In that case you can use a transfer and move to a different manager.

I know, but you plan and activate it with a specific fixture in mind. If there's no table bonus after all, then you're in a bad position. It's really strange idea from FPL.

The chip is potentially worth like 20 points per game, it shouldn't be easy to plan for

I'm just going safe honestly. Slot 24 and 25. Then Arteta in 26. Should get 30-40 points. I just don't see table bonus wins to be common enough for me to be one of the lucky ones who will get those extra points.

Iwobi > Gordon vs Sou (benching ISarr)

and save the other FT for DGW24

            That's the sensible move right...

I'd have Gordon or Mbeumo over Foden on WC.

CL has restarted and City have a nasty run of fixtures.

Who are people targeting if not using AM in 24? If AM31 to target 33 doubles, Liverpool could have equally difficult fixtures (Leicester and Villa away in 33 + Fulham away in 31). In 36 they could play Arsenal and Spurs at home.

Imho, the best bet if not using AM in 24 would be to hope City gets a double of Southampton away and AV at home in 36.

Could make wildcarding tricky. The impact on strategy the AM chip will have is substantial. Going to make for an interesting end to the season me thinks.

Selling Gabriel may be better. You don't really want to bench either Munoz or Robinson too much, I doubt.
Cheap Greaves can just stay as the 5th.

Because I need the cash to buy Trent without resorting to buying a non-playing forward, the chance of reduced minutes with Champions League restarting, poor fixtures coming up for City, etc.

I hear you. Himself and City are hitting a nice bit of form now and he's a good price. I'd go B above. 3 more nailed and better form than A. Not sure that Malen won't impact Rogers FPL returns.

Yeah, it's not ideal to have to sell him before Chelsea, but I only have Salah from Liverpool and need to get prepared for the double.
