Next up, we roll out the draw for the Fourth Round of the Paddy Power Cup VII. The weekend’s decimated schedule is sure to play a significant part in how some of these ties unfold, with many managers facing points hits just to field even nine or 10 players.

Site regular Evs remains on course for the silverware and, having moved up to 14th in the overall rankings, faces Rodallega Bombs for a place in the last 32. Former winner Fuzzy Dunlop is still very much in the mix – he squares up to backstreets this time round. Stewpot and Logan Daniels both arrive in good form – with 93 points apiece, they were the joint top-scoring managers from the previous round and now go head-to-head with Vae and dA4s respectively.

    @LR - if you're still canvassing opinion:

    The problem with Sturridge for me, injuries aside, is that he hasn’t been at Liverpool that long and whilst he’s done well so far Suarez has performed brilliantly through thick and thin, when Liverpool were playing badly, before Lucas came back and in various systems.

    Value is a consideration but in your case what are you going to do with the extra money that 110m tv can’t do anyway…

      Looking at maximising points per gw now. Wildcard coming in really soon, so can afford to make a take a few reasonable gambles.

          Lambert's a good choice but at best he;ll get 10 or so....pretty good...but with a captain I feel you have to go for someone with potential of a 15. Really tough week as the most attacking sides are up against the best defences.

          Lambert, Suarez, Bale, Benteke are all good options but no one this week is a really great option.

      For me too. I have China Mag, and before transfers the only differences in our teams are Me: Michu; him: Sissoko and Wilson. In other words he has one more GW29 player. I need to pick the right (c) and Michu needs to seriously outperform Sissoko.

    What formation have Newcastle been playing lately? Is it sort of the 4-3-3, or at least 4-2-3-1? Because I feel like Ben Arfa was explosive last year in the 4-3-3 and sort of meh this year when he was playing on the wing in a 4-4-2. I'm not as high on Sissoko as most, his numbers are pretty up and down, and I'm looking for any excuse not to buy him. So much so that I'm considering pinning my hopes on Ben Arfa, who has a lack of match fitness and two matches in four days...

      Playing 4-4-2. With Cisse up front and Siss behind or next to him. Gouffran or Guti on the wing, unless he changes formation HBA will replace one of these guys. It is also possible that Sissokho will play deeper with Perch/Tiote dropping to the bench. But given his form I think the first option will be the reality at least in the first place.

            Maloney is not worth -4 when I don't need the funds. If I get Remy i can get Rooney for free next week, if I get Bentekkers or go in with 9 I'll need to dump Fellaini

            so essentially it's Fellaini and Remy or Maloney and Benteke/Sturridge

              I have been wrong before, so this is purely my opinion. But I would prefer the second option by a mile. Fella has bad fixtures, DGW could get moved if they win and he has 8 yellows so probably will be banned in a few gameweeks.

      I suggest you keep Robin. Firstly, it might be hard to get him back. Secondly, he has RDG up next. Thirdly, DGW coming soon and you might as well save that FT for other upgrades and punts.

    Guthrie may have to be part of a future double transfer and looking to ship Aguero out... keep Mata or switch to someone such as Gerrard / Michu?
