Restricted to just ten matches, Gameweek 32 looks set to be an inevitable anti-climax after the recent triple-figure hauls. Nonetheless, with the double Gameweek chatter postponed, at least for a while, it’s almost comforting to return to the old routine – an early kick-off, the evening live match and a couple of Sunday joints to see the Gameweek out.
Today’s events promise to make an inauspicious start as we drop in on Old Trafford to witness a United side beleaguered by the midweek defeat to City and with one eye firmly on the clash with Bayern to come. It’s difficult to know what kind of performance that will produce from David Moyes’ men, although with pressure mounting, it’s hard to imagine that the Scot can afford to put out a side stuck in third gear. Villa will provide a test – Paul Lambert’s outfit are an effective animal on their travels and, in Christian Benteke, have a destructive force that can deal damage to a hesitant United back line.
This is all followed by five three o’clock matches, with Arsenal’s tea-time meeting with City to follow.
