Versus – Eriksen, Lamela and Chadli

With the exception of a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool, Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have enjoyed an encouraging opening to their campaign. Seven goals in four matches makes their attacking options worthy of consideration, with the midfield trio of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli hovering on our radars as potential acquisitions.

The 4-0 thrashing of QPR certainly brought Nacer Chadli firmly into the Fantasy frame as he bagged a brace and claimed 15 points. With Mauricio Pochettino seemingly promoting the Belgian international to the status of certain starter and with a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price tag of just 6.1, the debate over Tottenham’s attacking trio seems cut and dry.

However, Christian Eriksen’s shift to a central role in the win over Sunderland and his bundled goal in the 2-2 draw reminded us that he’s a known quantity and a proven producer after a solid 132-point campaign last year. In addition, after a season on the sidelines, largely due to injury, Argentine starlet Lamela has shown flashes of the brilliance which have gone some way to explain why Spurs shelled out £30 million for his services last summer.

In this latest article for members, we analyse this trio of targets, sifting the data available to analyse their early-season form and assess whether Chadli’s emergence has put both Eriksen and the resurgent Lamela in the shade.

Not if you already have him. I firmly believe Falcao is a bandwagon in the waiting - much the same as when RVP joined. All it will take is a brace, maybe even just the one goal - and the Rooney to Falcao transfers will start to roll in. And you wouldn't be wanting to make a transfer one week and then reverse it the next.

He has said in the past that he will always start games with the same formation. But he may alter it during the game if tactics are not working. I don't think we should worry too much about the 433 talk.

True..... especially with the three strikers, unless one is injured. I just got excited by the thought of ADM as a winger, without thinking it through. 😉

Only because of his ownership really. Depends if you're cup half full or half empty.

If you captain Rooney, and Chadli does better.... you'll be miffed, but still get the differential points.

If you captain Chadli, and Rooney does better... a lot will (c) Rooney and you'll lose out.

But that's being negative and expecting the (c) to fail. 😉

not really, he has been performing pretty consistent, better than many much higher pricedd options, should get some returns vs Westbrom i reckon

Is it silly to play Siggy vs Clyne, or should I opt for Naylor?

Just feels like Clyne could get returns even if Swansea score but that's less likely with Naylor... Agree?

In exactly the same position myself. The logic of the game is telling me Naylor, but common sense is telling me Clyne...

Have a feeling Welbeck will be given a rest today. What with the england game and champ league he has had no chance to settle into his new surroundings. A break would do him good

Dont mind if he given proper rest, as can play boyd, just dont want a cameo

    What changes to make:

    Lloris

    Wilson Naylor Lovren
    Siggy Mirallas Sterling Ozil Fabregas
    Pelle Welbeck

    Given Costa Clyne Caulker

    1 FT 0.0 ITB

Ideally, I want to ship Pelle, Because he wont score big points again this week.
My defence is a hard one, because any of them could play.
Midfield is harder. I will ship Ozil out Next week if he doesnt perform.
Forward. Welbeck has had lots of service and looks dangerous. I want to ship Pelle,
And Costa I garantee wont score big points.
    Pelle to who?

people still talking about Rooney moving into midfield. Not very likely to happen any more IMO

Last season we had Carrick and Cleverley, with Fellaini as back up

this season we have Herrera and Blind with Carrick and Fletcher as back-up, plus Fellaini
