After the best Gameweek tally in living memory, I reserve the right for a bit of a gloat. Having risked the Wildcard back in Gameweek 7, the stars aligned and everything fell into place last weekend, leaving my ScoutCast co-host, grumpy Granville, grabbing at straws and smashing TV sets in frustration.

After last season’s defeat, I revel in my moment of glory but still find time to lock horns with Granville over the great Costa debate. Is Jose playing with our minds? I certainly think so but, as Granville points out, I reckon the Lunar landings were fake. I love a good conspiracy, me.

      People selling costa don't want him for qpr. They are taking a chance. A reasonable risk which could pay off if costa doesn't start

      I cannot fathom how in roughly ten days, a fit again Costa, home, vs QPR is not essential???

      Serious. I'm sure it has been spoken about at lengths already so I must be missing something.

      I have started this year so well but this Costa business is killing me. No idea what the right plan is.

        If he's fit again, I agree, it's about the best combination of player and fixture this season. However, we have no idea whether he will be available, there's no timescale on the injury at this point, so given that we can be confident he won't play this week, and have no idea about next week, it makes sense to me to sell, but have an escape plan to get him back in. Like Nate says though, I seem to be in a minority on this view.

            No..As I posted earlier..I'm convinced that Costa doesn't want him in his space (like RVP with Rooney) and that's why he's forever on the touchline. It's only since Costa has been out that Hazard has looked like his old self...coincidence ?..I don't think so...

          I'm telling you mate, with Dann and Delaney both out our back line is going to have some serious problems this weekend. Would love to be proven wrong but there is pretty much no evidence otherwise. Kelly and Hangeland should struggle immensely with the pace of Berahino making runs in behind them.

      I'm in the same boat as you re-Costa. I'm looking beyond one GW here and thinking he will be fit for QPR. I think I'll keep. There aren't any great short term alternatives and I'll want Costa back as soon as he's fit so I don't think there is much point selling.

          Yeah that's the thing.

          I only would want to do free transfers, I believe Bera / Welbeck could get goals (and more points than Downing) though in the long-run I want Costa since only Aguero can match his goalscoring this season IMO.

        Yeah it's tempting, with his price going down, if Costa doesn't play, the only negative I see is not having 2FT to play with next week, or of course the player I get in not scoring well but that's always a risk.

        Don't want to get hurt by those who have swapped Costa out, tough one.

        Essentially they'd be there to fix my defence and get Baines in at least.

        That would mean downgrading a midfielder or forward, so in that 2FT is needed to do it for free.

        Trying not to lose any points at all, though I know it can be worth it...may have to go down the math route to work out potential losses and then go with my gut.

          You say you want Costa long term.
          So who will you ditch for Baines, that he'll outscore, is the big question?

      No, it carries over to the next season. So the tactic is to transfer out all your players for cheapies and have all that money to spend next season

    If i tak costa out for pelle but ends up starting against utd amd scores can i go to my team and take pelle back out for costa, get his points and pretend the transfer never happend?

    How do you all like this team? Am I right benching Chambers?

    Chambers, Boyd, Moore 5.6itb no ft.

    Costa back in next week was the plan hopefully he will be fit again for QPR. If he is that leads to the question on wether I should sell Berahino(lei) or Welbeck(BUR) for him?

      I like it, good move benching Chambers. Ulloa won't do much against the Swans IMO,
      off those fixtures, the former for DC if you insist
