Maybe not essential, but I wouldn't dream about spending any more than 5.5m on any other defender in the game instead of buying Baines for 7m+ ..

Depends what the trade off is. There is always a trade off with Baines

i look at him like another midfielder.. season after season he has delivered points equal to the 4th/5th highest scoring midfielder..

He'll probably get double figures once (twice if lucky) before Jan, but you could put in a cheapie who'll accumulate 2's and 3's and match that, imo.

I think with those 3 strikers we just have to go without Costa this week. Yes he could explode but so could any of the other 3. I'm personally against losing ADM as well so I don't really like any of those options tbh!

Well if you sold Costa and did not have a quick route back to him, you were asking for it. I don't get why managers sell players who are FPL gold, spread the money around the team then decide they want that sold player back in one GW.

I am thinking along similar lines. No Costa for that fixture is scary though due to the ownership.

I am leaning towards a solution of drafting in Sanchez for Sterling this week, make him captain, and find a way to get in Costa for Welbeck during the next couple of gameweeks. Scrificing Baines most likely. It would be criminal to drop Pelle on current form, and I am not comfortable covering Chelsea with hazard instead of Costa, alongside Fabregas. Chelsea offensive shape is different this season with Costa included. It is not given that Hazard will return the same as last year.
