The ScoutCast – Episode 143 – Yellow

Far from a tribute to Chris Martin’s middle of the road act, this week’s ScoutCast reflects on the sea of yellow flags that have flooded our Fantasy Premier League squads over the past week. You’re nobody unless you’ve collected at least four by Saturday morning.

The uncertainty caused by phantom international break injuries dominates proceedings as Granville and I mark a return to the studio. Whilst I start praying for Georgie Boyd to step up, my co-host begins his campaign to hypnotise me into getting rid of Branislav Ivanovic before he starts putting further daylight between our teams. I’m refusing to gaze into Granville’s eyes.

Elsewhere this week, we catch “Cup Fever” and resurrect the ScoutCast team. Sign up and you could soon have the pleasure of knocking Granville and I out of our own cup competition. Providing we qualify of course – that’s far from a given.

“Look at the stars” via this link or “look at how the shine for you” via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

"Late return" -- what could this mean? Has he done a George Best and gone out drinking?
Surely, the club and player would have an agreed travel itinerary to get him back to England from the international game.

He means late as in he returned later than others, not that that wasn't the schedule

Yes, but his return was later than the rest of the players as he was playing in South America.

    Wenger press:

First up, he's asked about players returning from international duty. "Everyone has come back in decent shape. We have to check in with some players this morning, so we have lots to check today," he says

He says both Mikel Arteta and Olivier Giroud are available for selection. "The surgery when well and there were no setbacks. He is very solid and has a positive mentality - that helps," he says.

On Welbeck:"I always respected him and he has a great future. But he's gained more respect over the last few months. Louis van Gaal didn't have him under his command for very long so it's difficult to judge players."

He also praises Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: "He's growing every game. It's good for him to score. The quality of his run [for his goal v Scotland] was intelligent."

He says Theo Walcott won't be available for the Manchester United game tomorrow.

    Lloris

    Azpi Bertrand Chambers

Really struggling with my captaincy choice this week. In my mind I have 3 options:

    1. Aguero - is the 'safe' choice, and probability of scoring is high. However, Swansea do have a tight defense away, so I can't see an explosion. Also, both my ML contenders have him (and will most likely captain him)

    2. Sanchez - Up against an iffy ManU defense, in great form and is a midfielder OOP. However, had a long flight back from Chile and so may be a little jet-lagged, might not even get the full 90.

    3. Hazard - My differential pick. No-one else near me has him so if it comes off it'll make a real difference. Against an average WBA side, plays well at the bridge and has explosion potential. However, if very hit and miss; just as likely to serve up a 2pt as a 20pt....

    Really difficult!!!!!! >_< Please help!

You might get more points from a 5 minute cameo from Hutton and a full game from the others.anyway he will start cos villa are down to the bare bones at the back.

      Boyd Chambers Hutton

      and me?

Duff: Good chances of a clean sheet
Marney: Almost guaranteed of two points over the entire season
Hutton: I fear a five minute Cameo.
