Is brunt worth consideration at 5.4? Decent fixtures for next 3 games IMO. (ARS, WHM, Hull)

Looking to replace diame or downing with him.

Yeah I've looked at him as well. Set pieces and more touches in the box are attractive, but i think he's just too hit and miss tbh.. i'd rather go for someone like milner who has some great fixtures at the same price

    I'm considering this -4 hit
    Pelle out, Bony in
    Tadic out, Siggy/Barkley/Miralles in

My problem is I 'm getting Bony (scored 30 pts in last games) but I'm not sure I want to double up with Siggy (scored 19 pts in last games). Miralles was scoring well b4 injury & Barkley seems to be gathering pace. So would ignore Siggy & get one of the Everton boys.

    Thanks in advance.

I think CB is not usually rotated.

If Bartley lost the spot to Amat, I think Amat will continue.
If not, Bartley will keep it until Fernandez back.

    Bego > Fabianski

    Pelle > Costa
    Berahino > Austin
    JWP > Ameobi

No to no, easily fixable w/ some calculated transfers in the next three weeks.
Costa not someone I'd WC to get in, Azpi can wait 2 weeks, Bego might have a decent chacne vs Pool, AdM should stay, Pelle could go to Bony to ease the pain

      Don;t WC!

If you really want to wildcard - Do it.

The week I wildcarded, I hardly had any injuries, just felt it was the right time. It paid off nicely.

As weird as it sounds, the sensible me would've advised myself not to wildcard at the time 😀

I wouldn't wildcard personally. ADM, Berhaino, Chambers are good picks.

Saylor/ JWP can be bench fodder - Just sell one of them

      No great hurry with Pelle

Just my opinion though. A wildcard would be nice but might be better used for a DGW

I do think Bego-Fabianski is the best move of the lot

Thanks for the reply. I wished I'd used it last week tbh as I took a big red arrow this week.

I want Costa but it would be many moves to get him in. And I am over Berahino.
ADM is a good pick but he is my only real way to get Costa... and he has not been scoring more than Chadli anyway!

he's played 90 in 5 straight league games, and been one of the leagues best mids in that time, not least according to the stats. Unlucky not to have more output, though I'm not sure he's 100% nailed with silva back soon. Perhaps he'll start in some of the easier december games though.

    Are these players necessary?

    xxx - xxx
Baines - Chelsea DF - xxx - xxx - xxx
    Sanchez - ADM - Fabregas - xxx - xxx
    D.Costa - Aguero - xxx

They eat so much budget, so it's hard to get a decent players for the rest of team.

In MF, I think it's still debatable if ADM or Fab are necessary. There are decent alternatives, e.g. Downing, Chadli, Siggy, and you can allocate budget to strengthen 3rd FW.

Also, in DF, Chelsea def might not be necessary. Only Baines worth to spend more 6mil.

I m in top 1k and i look around the 20 teams around me..

mostly have aguero costa sanchez baines+ chelsea mid

Most has 2 out of siggy downing chadli tadic

1 soton def in every team..so everyone has the same problem

Many has a newcastle def and many has chambers

Not much people has chelsea def yet most likely due to budget issues..but expect that to change with soton guys freeing cash

Due to most people having a che mid +sanchez..adm is a little differential among teams

      1. NATSTER
        • 14 Years
        9 years, 11 months ago

Such a small pool of players again.

Interesting info that ADM could be a little differential. His price is definitely the issue.

Chelsea mid might be popular pick, but Hazard actually has only ~600k owners.
I think he is another differential as compared to ~1.7mil owners of Fabregas.

        1. money face bandwagon
          • 11 Years

Yeah its small becos i m more concerned towards the teams around me..so i use it to gauge my own transfers.

Mostly still has fab..but we all have come to know that haz provides as gd option and fab 4yc etc. Gd time to get haz as a differential. I m sure most people are juz waiting/reluntant to do fab->haz. So a gd opportunity to gain there

Just want say that it seems the general path that we need a chsea mid+costa.

Similarly chambers did not really provide gd points currently but many still stuck with him..it might be another gd place to gain advantage. And the soton def means many will likely waste a transfer there.

I mean people select players from small pool again in this season. As the season goes on, there are about 30-50 players selectively picked by FPL managers.

Observation the teams around your rank is obviously sensible. 🙂

Re: Fab/Haz ... I'm one in the waiting list too. If Fab got another booking, I might consider the move too. Only problem is 0.8m difference of price (in my case). I have no idea where to find that money yet.

Btw, I was one who sold Chambers last week. Too bad that I picked the wrong DF, so the early move didn't pay off as expected.

Sot def ... I'm considering Forster + Clyne -> Guzan + Azpil ... Not this week as I want to see them play City first.

About Chelsea ... If Costa get another booking before Fab, do you think people will transfer out or just bench him?

If haz/adm performing i think many will take it as an opportunity to make a swap.

I personally would bench him since fixture is nice and do not see better choice than costa and i would have to re invest the cash etc. Rooney is a possible option but even if costa gets the yc next gw..rooney only has 1 great fixture left..not sure if its worthy to get him.

I think it is wise to keep clyne for a week. Do the guzan move 1st if u want. See how the general trend goes..should give u a better idea imo. Playing clyne against city is not too bad after all.

I think I will bench Costa too if he got 1 match ban. I feel the problem with Rooney is not just fixtures, but also LVG's tactics and Rooney's position too.

This week, both Forster & Clyne will still in my team to play City. It's a home game and I think any result is possible. Southampton have enough potential to stop City & Co. - just a feeling.

                Back to work now.

I am debating whether to move on ADM for Chadli as both have made similar returns to this point. It affords me Costa up front and another captain option.
I think you need a Fabs or Haz to go with Sanchez... other 3 spots are debatable.

Looks like it but not 100% sure. Yun (QPR) is definitely nailed on and costs the same

This week I am benching with Yun starting. I don't think I'll sell. Rotating my cheap subs for his tough fixtures.
