Having announced a couple of new cup competitions last week, we thought we’d give you another heads-up as next Wednesday’s deadline edges closer. Not only do we have the eleventh instalment of our open-to-all cup competition, as sponsored by Paddy Power, we also have the Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup V up and running over the season run-in.
If you’re familiar with our competitions you can get your entries in right now via the links below. If you’re new to all this, read on for an FAQ on the competitions.

Are there prizes?
As mentioned, Paddy are supplying the competition with some great prizes and, once again, we’re supplementing these with Amazon Vouchers. The prizes break down for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI is as follows:
Winner – £100 worth of free bets. £100 Amazon Voucher
Runner-up – £50 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £25 Amazon Voucher
In addition, the top scoring manager from each round will win a £25 free bet from Paddy Power on supply of their Paddy Power username.
For the Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup V, the prizes are:
Winner – £200 Amazon voucher.
Runner-up – £100 Amazon voucher
How do the cup competitions work?
Our cup competitions are very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall standings will progress.
When do they start?
The qualifying rounds for both cups will take place in Gameweek 28, with the first rounds running on Gameweek 29.
Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to Wednesday March 11, when we’ll stop entry and will be drawing the first round ties from the qualifiers.
There will be 512 qualifiers for the members cup and 1024 for the Paddy Power Cup XI – depending on the number of entries. All our previous winners gain a bye into the first round draw where they will join the top scorers from Gameweek 28.
FPL standing will decide who progresses in the event of tied positions. The same rules apply in the Members Cup

Do I have to enter if I’m previous winner?
Yes, because your FPL team ID will have changed, we will need to record you entry again. As a previous winner, you will be given a bye to the first round proper.
Do I need to be registered with Fantasy Football Scout?
We ask you to supply a FFScout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament. Ideally, you will already have a username with us but this is not essential to enter (although it is for the Members Cup) – you must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles. You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament, should you do so without permission, or should you enter multiple teams or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament.
