Sterling benched as Fraser comes through injury scare

Pep Guardiola proved himself the villain of the piece once again on Saturday afternoon as he named Raheem Sterling (£11.2m) on the bench for the Gameweek 9 visit of Burnley.

The England international was signed by over 200,000 Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of the game, but has fallen victim to the Manchester City rotation policy for the second time this season.

Sergio Aguero (£11.3m) survived the rotation once again while David Silva (£8.5m) and Benjamin Mendy (£6.2m) also started the match. Kevin De Bruyne (£9.7m) is back in the matchday squad but fit enough only for the bench currently.

To counter Man City’s threat, Sean Dyche has lined up Burnley with five in midfield, Ashley Barnes (£5.7m) dropping out to allow Steven Defour (£5.4m) to return to the side following injury.

There was relief for Ryan Fraser (£6.0m) owners as he came through his latest injury scare to start against Southampton. Team-mate Josh King (£6.4m), also a doubt before Gameweek 9, was also in the starting XI.

The Saints have gone with a 4-4-2 formation with Danny Ings (£5.6m) and Charlie Austin (£5.5m) leading the line.

Christian Eriksen (£9.2m) and Moussa Dembele‘s (£4.9m) return to fitness saw them only considered good enough for the bench for Spurs.

Wolves manager Nuno named an unchanged side for the ninth time in a row, extending the record he broke earlier in the season.

Didn’t want to keep Mane but put off by Coty rotation. How does this look with my banked cash and 2 FT’s?

    Trippier/Murray > Maguire/Lacazette

He won't. He'll start midweek in CL and then be benched again IMO.

Think his time is up. You will get starts now and then but that's not worth it.

Mahrez looking tidy. City actually have a hard time filling the role he offers them (width on the right). Maybe he's worth looking into?

On a day when Sterling is benched through rotation you think getting in a City mid is a good idea?

Just throwing it out there. In 3 weeks if he starts all of the league games, you might change your tune.

The real winners of this gameweek appear to be those who didn't take a hit and even better have 2 frees next week.

    Sadly I'm a minus 4.

Wish I’d let my 2FT slide.

Actually no. I’m happy with Doherty and Wilson. They’ll come good.

Not really, the real winners will be those who score well, no matter how they do it. I know that's sounds outlandishly simple. But even in a low scoring GW like this, if the hit pays off, it will be worth more.

Arny could have 2 goals and 1 assist by now. This couldn't get any worse.

I can't just get any move right. Sell Mccarthy buys Patricio. Patricio concedes twice and Mccarthy keeps a clean sheet after 5 gmeweeks of no clean sheets from him

If you are a TAA owner you want Lovren to make a mistake leading to a Huddersfield goal. Lovren will be out of the team if that happens.

Second gameweek in a row with nothing from Kane. He gone. Not worth his price by any stretch of imagination. Not without Eriksen.

Posted this earlier Salah only 4 points off last seasons total through 8 game weeks. Replies too expensive.

Aguero tho only plays 60-65 minutes a game. Is that too expensive for him as well? He is averaging 6.44 ppg

Kane doesn't pass the eye test nor is he scoring

So who is the big player to get in everyones opinion?
